I met this girl recently thru mutual friends. Her name is T. Very interesting and nice person. I have only hung out with her twice, but she's growing on me fast.
I am planning to ask her out next time we hang out, probably in a couple of weeks.
I have been afraid all my life to ask girls out. But I gota stop doing that now and start popping those questions. I have plans. I just gota be straight to the point with some humour. If she says no, then I'd just have to be the enforcer and get at least 2 dates.
If I turn away simply because she says no, then it doesn't show that I am seriously interested in her. I can't really see her saying no anyways. Not to sound cocky, but I am pretty confident she will say yes.
Girls don't like timid guys. The least I could do is appear confident.
I heard from mutual friends that she likes the taller and slimmer type of guys, which I am neither. But I ain't even gonna worry about it. Nothing I can do about that. It's all good.

24 Hours to Live
Well, this song is pretty self-explainatory. I just remembered it the other day.
"If you had 24 hours to live, just think
Where would you go?
What would you do?
Who would you screw?
And who would you wanna notify?
Or would your ass deny that yo ass about to die?"

Union Station - Toronto, Ontario, Canada
I wrote this poem during the first semester of my university career at Guelph.UNION STATION
HERE I AM, IN THE OLD, BUT EMOTION-LESS UNION STATION
IN THE ROWDY CITY OF TORONTO
WHY DO I CALL IT EMOTION-LESS?
BECAUSE
TRAINS ARRIVE AND TRAINS LEAVE
PEOPLE COME AND PEOPLE GO
THE MIXTURE OF ALL TYPES OF EMOTION RUSH IN AND OUT
THE HIGHS AND THE DOWNS CANCEL EACH OTHER OUT LIKE
THE RULES OF LARGE NUMBER
AND THEN THERE ARE THE FREQUENT TRAVELLERS LIKE ME
WHO DO NOT FEEL ANYTHING
BUT EVERYTHING
I SEE PEOPLE WHO BRING THEIR FEELINGS WITH THEM INTO THE UNION STATION AND
I SEE THEM TAKE THEIR FEELINGS WITH THEM OUTA HERE
WHEN I SEE THE OTHERS LEAVE HOME, I FEEL THEIR PAIN
WHEN I SEE THE OTHERS GO HOME, THE PAIN FEELS ME
BUT THERE’S ONE THING THAT NEVER LEAVES THE STATION
IT IS THE BUILDING ITSELF
IT JUST STANDS HERE WHETHER THERE’S EMOTION IN THERE OR NOT
AGAIN
PEOPLE COME AND PEOPLE GO
TRAINS ARRIVE AND TRAINS LEAVE
HERE I AM, IN THE COLD,
IN THE ROWDY CITY OF TORONTO
HERE I AM, IN THE OLD, BUT EMOTION-LESS UNION STATION
IN THE ROWDY CITY OF TORONTO
WHY DO I CALL IT EMOTION-LESS?

1st Year University - good ol' times
Listening to this song reminds me of 2nd semester of first year university during the winter of 2001. Shaggy, what would I do without your song - "It Wasn't Me"
Later that summer in 2001, I worked in Calgary and this song reminded me soo much of that summer. It was somewhat of a lonely but fun summer.

Eggs Don't See Colour - they are not racists!
Just dropped off some stuff for my friend and came back. As I parked my car and retrieved stuff from the backseat to put into the trunk, a car drove by and something was thrown at me because I felt it struck me in the lower back.
I looked behind me and heard the people in the car screamed out something about "chink..........fried rice". I wondered what struck me in the back, as I felt my lowerback. There was nothing. I looked in my car and there's a smashed egg all over the passenger seat and the seatbelt as well as the ceiling of the car. The egg must have cracked and bounced off my back and hit the interior of my car.
I got egged by some racist white kids.
I got a good glance at them from their rear windshield, but could not make out the license plate.
This would my second encounter with racist white people, with the first a few years ago. I discussed that incident in the previous blog entries. Actually, I think they were looking for a cheap thrill more than a racist action. Well, I certainly hope that was the case.
I wasn't even mad at first, I was just thinking about the interior of my car. It was hard to clean off, especially that raw egg smell. But after I cleaned it off.....well, I tried to, I thought to myself that this is BS.
So I wanted to get even. (This is very out of character for me, but you know what they say. In situations like this one, your true character comes out!) Yes. Take things into my own hands. I got 4 eggs from the fridge and went out on a hunt for these kids in the neighbourhood in my car. After half an hour of driving around looking for that car, I could not find them.
So I came home. (The right thing that should have been done was to get their license plate and report it to the police. These kids need to know what they did was wrong.)
This is pretty f'ing frustrating. I am pretty sick to my stomach now.

Rulon Gardner is a Cat
"Rulon Gardner is an Olympic wrestler from the US. Gold in Sydney in 2002 and Bronze in Athens during the 2004 summer games in the 120 and 130 kg category. On 2/25/2007, Gardner and two friends survived a plane crash at Lake Powell, Utah. Rulon swam more than one hour in 44 degree Fahrenhit (about 7°C ) water to reach shore. The 3 men spent the night without shelter or fire in 28 degree Fahrenheit (−2 °C). when a fisherman, out of his usual route, found and picked them up in the morning. They got rescued by a fisherman, out of his usual route, the next morning and the 3 lived without major injuries."
And you thought this was it from the man they call Rulon. Well, he's got 9 lives, brother!
Here are his survival stories in point form:
1) Shot by an arrow in a show and tell incident when he was a young lad.
2) Suffered a frostbite on his big toe (amputated) after a snowmobile accident (2002)
3) Hit by a car while riding his Harley (2004)
*Suck it up you pro athletes with your "upper/lower body" injuries.
